STATE COLLEGE, Pa. – Penn State Hillel will be moving into a downtown State College development on Beaver Avenue in 2021, according to officials.

Hillel enriches the lives of the estimated 5,000 Jewish students that attend Penn State.

Work began on the site this week and the facility will feature lounge and study spaces, innovative shared staff and student leadership workspace, flexible event spaces and a private terrace.

“Hillel's stellar record of service, involving students from every corner of campus, is a wonderful complement to Penn State students' academic studies and helps to bind the Penn State family together,” saud Penn State President Eric Barron.

The 18,000-square-foot Hillel facility will be on Beaver Avenue’s new development that will also include, student housing, retail shops and parking.
